We just receieved word that our 1st adopted soldier made it home from deployment safe and sound! YEAH!! Our love and caring can make a difference in these young people's lives. Maybe our sending a bit of fun and laughter to those war ravaged places will make the time pass quicker for all the soldiers around and keep them a bit saner.
We've already adopted another hero (lucky soldier to have the NPHC as Aunts & Uncles) so start writing those cards and letters and bringing cool stuff to send. As a club we did a really good job of spoiling our last adopted soldier so please keep up the good work. Bring your cards, letters and package goodies to every phlocking, musical event or party where you think a board member will be and we will take it from there.

Examples of things our soldier could use are:
Shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, lotion, sunscreen, lip balm, deodorant, q-tips, tooth paste, tooth brush, mouth wash, Kleenex, comb, brush, baby wipes, razors and blades, sewing kits, tweezers, ultra healing hand cream, water guns, battery powered fans, batteries, playing cards, magazines, books, CD's, videos and AT&T phone cards. Anything else shippable & fun. Now for anything a teenager would like to eat because the average age of deployed soldiers is 19 years old. I've got Buffett shirts older than that! Just remember it's REALLY HOT so no chocolate.
Canned fruit snack paks, protien and breakfast bars, single serving packs of cookies, chips, trail mix, nuts, drink mixes and anything else that sounds like someone in the armpit of the world would love to have.
